Has anyone successfully gotten around this bs on windows 10? This is ridiculousĮdit: Think I got it sorted.
I've heard many people suggesting to just use this on a windows 7 install to avoid these issues which may be my last resort.
I've used all the steps explained in this video as well: Press 7 number key corresponding to Disable driver signature enforcement entry. Select Troubleshoot ->Advanced setup -> Startup Settings and press Restart. Click Restart Now button under Advanced startup. I'm now getting the "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" message which is different from what I was initially running into when I started this process. Click on Update & recovery on the left side. I've tried the initial workaround as well. now in the area on the right side of the arrow, you will see some. If it’s now shown in the drop down, try selecting List All Devices from the Options menu. In the Zadig window a drop-down shows all the found devices which it might be able to help with and hopefully USBasp is in there. Just a heads up as I ran into that issue. Now connect your USBAsp and run the Zadig program. Once you do that, you will also need to reinstall the drivers in order for the programmers to work with JRunner. I've attempted re-installing them as legacy drivers, to which it keeps failing. If you made the leap into the future with Windows 11 and are still using NANDX or JR Programmer, you will need to disable the driver signature enforcement again.
Since I finished my last nand write, windows has basically locked out my ability to use these drivers. I technically have finished the process, although i'd like to revert to attempting the 10 mhz option on my console as well as i'm looking to RGH my cousins console for him. I was able to successfully RGH 3.0 my console the other day using the "disable driver signing" advanced restart option the other day to get these initially installed.
